languages defined in the IEC 61131-3 standard are IL (Instruction List) and ST (Structured
Text). The sequential function chart (SFC) elements can be used in conjunction with
either of these languages. This subclause defines the semantics of the ST (Structured
Text) language whose syntax is defined in B.3. In this language, the end of a textual
line shall be treated the same as a space (SP) character. Covers Expressions and
